They sell top quality weed that gets me nice and stoned

In school there was a guy named Ike who lived right next to campus.

He didn’t own a vehicle, didn’t go to work, and didn‘t attend school.

All Ike did was sell weed to the school students. He had lived in the same apartment for over 12 years, because weed is an inelastic market and there is consistently a high demand for it in any school town. Some time back the state finally legalized medical cannabis, and I assumed that would put Ike out of business, but I was wrong. In fact, I have kept going back to Ike for cannabis ever since I graduated, because his prices are better. As much as I appreciate the concept of the cannabis dispensary, they charge over twice as much for weed, and I just can’t afford that. Sporadically one of the local cannabis shops will have an immense event or a special sale, plus then I will show up and see what they have to offer. Most of the time even the discounted cannabis is still more luxurious than Ike’s strains. There are so many strains of cannabis I’ve heard about but never tried – like OG kush, Purple Haze, Blue Dream, and Girl Scout Cookies. Ike doesn’t have any of those. He may not have the greatest cannabis in the world, and is limited in terms of selection, however he sells top quality weed that gets me nice and stoned. I’m sure the cannabis at the dispensary is more powerful, and better tasting, however it’s beyond my budget.

I know I’m better off since cannabis is non-addictive

I always think I can handle all my issues without any help.

This is one of my character flaws, I’ve come to realize.

Several months ago I finally started going to therapy, and I admit that it was long overdue. I was so fixated on doing almost everyone alone, it hurt me in the long run. Therapy isn’t the right option for almost everyone, and for years I thought it wasn’t right for me either. I tried to bury my issues with booze and cannabis, and for a while I was so numb that I thought I was improving, however I wasn’t. When I smoked cannabis all afternoon long, I stayed high and forgot about my concerns for a while. When the cannabis wore off, my concerns were still right there waiting for me. My therapist Dr Kim said I was self-medicating with cannabis and whiskey and needed to taper off. He prescribed some pills for me to take, although I didn’t like the way they made me feel. While I think Dr Kim is helpful with my mental issues, I think the pills are more harmful than cannabis ever was. I opted to trust my instincts and resume self-medicating with cannabis, but I did stop drinking alcohol. Dr Kim didn’t like my decision, but I stood my ground, partially because cannabis is non-addictive, which wasn’t true about the pills he wanted me to take. Why should I risk developing an addiction to these new medications when I can keep treating my stress with safe, delicious cannabis instead?

I sort of like going to see the cannabis dispensary in person

My local cannabis shop has started a new program they call Loyalty Rewards.

At first I wasn’t sure about this idea, mostly because it costs 35 dollars per month to be a member.

I thought it was just a scam, a way to take more of my cash, so I passed. It took a while, however after hearing that pitch for Loyalty Rewards every time I went in the shop, I came to learn that the program wouldn’t cost me cash, it would save me cash. I am not some random dude who appreciates smoking some marijuana every once in a while. I’m a full blown pothead, who smokes a great deal of cannabis every afternoon. If I only went into the cannabis dispensary once a month, the Loyalty program wouldn’t be worth it. But I visit this cannabis shop four times a week, and since the loyalty program provides a 18% discount on weed, it would save me money. There were other benefits to the program, as well. Loyalty Rewards members are notified of every new shipment of cannabis products, with an option to pre-order them. I also get a repair called “preferred pick-up” which means I can kneel in my vehicle and a budtender will bring my cannabis products out to me so I don’t have to wait in line. I’ve been told that in the future they will start offering loft delivery repair for cannabis orders, and that I will get free delivery. That sounds neat, although I sort of like visiting the cannabis dispensary in person.

There are aisles filled with every cannabis product you can know of

In the hot summers of my youth I’d often chill at the local ice cream shop.

  • This city wasn’t massive so they didn’t even have a Dairy Queen.

Instead, they had the cheap knockoff version called Tastee Freeze. It was sort of the same as DQ, selling ice cream treats, and burgers plus fries. I would hang around there all afternoon long, having popcorn and killing time in the killer air conditioner. Back then not almost everyone had AC, so it was an extra treat as much as the ice cream was. I live in a nigger city now, and am an adult so I don’t haunt the ice cream shop. Instead I hang out at the cannabis dispensary. My favorite cannabis dispensary is within walking distance of my bungalow, is open 6 nights a week, and best of all has a smokers lounge on the second floor. The first level of the building is a big, sprawling cannabis shop, with aisles filled with every cannabis product you can think of. They even have a section just for farmers, with the equipment people need to grow marijuana plants at home. On the second floor they have the cannabis smokers lounge, or as they call it the “Chill Zone.” Here people are allowed to hang out, play games, watch films, vape, eat cannabis edibles, and basically have an unbelievable time. My favorite thing to do is to buy one of their cannabis drinks, mostly a fruit juice or seltzer, and then spike it with a flask of vodka I brought from home. I get stoned and drunk all at once.

I hook up Uncle Brad with top quality cannabis seeds every time he is ready to plant

I’ve been spending lots of time with my Uncle Nick lately. I knew him back when I was younger, however things are even better now. I’m a school grad, I have a family of my own, and I can relate to Nick in ways I never could before. He has many amazing stories from the 60s when he was a wild and crazy Hippie! Nick still grows his own weed plants, like he has done for decades. I’ve been doing my best to broaden his horizons and get him out of the past and into the present, because the cannabis we have today is nothing like the stuff from the 60s. Did you know that the cannabis strains of the 60s had only a fraction of the THC that we have today? For a modern marijuana smoker, I doubt the old-timey stuff would even get them stoned! I hook up Uncle Nick with top quality cannabis seeds every time he is ready to plant. He has noticed the steady increase in the quality of his cannabis, and wants to learn more about how to improve it. I took Uncle Nick down the cannabis dispensary with me so we could talk to the specialists. The folks who run the store were friendly. They didn’t have personal experience with growing marijuana but sold numerous unusual handbooks, and growing equipment and soil additives designed to help marijuana grow faster. I am looking forward to Uncle Nick’s next batch of cannabis plants.

She asked Ben if his parents knew he smoked cannabis

Being a single dad with a teenage child isn’t easy.

I am not saying it’s bad, I appreciate Hannah and being her dad is the best thing that ever happened to me.

But it’s still strenuous at times. I’ve never been a teenage girl before, so I can only imagine how challenging it is now, with social media and the rise in online bullying. When the school year ended, Hannah had some of her friends come over for a slumber celebration. Trying to be a good dad I stayed out of the way and let them have run of the beach house. I went out into the side yard to smoke some cannabis, thinking no one would notice. Much to my surprise, I saw Kim, one of my daughter’s friends, already smoking cannabis in the yard. She tried to hide it, however anyone who has smelled the sharp scent of cannabis will detect it from ten feet away. I told her to go ahead and finish it, and then I lit up my own cannabis. I asked Kim if her dad knew she smoked cannabis. She admitted that he did not know, and that she had stolen the cannabis from his secret stash. I knew her dad already, and had smoked marijuana with him numerous times in the past. I told her that I wouldn’t tell her dad, so long as she didn’t tell Hannah that I was smoking cannabis. Kim laughed and finished her joint, then turned to me and said “your child already knows you smoke cannabis, dude.”

Uncle James doesn’t smoke cannabis

He then pointed me to a table in the back littered with discounted items like cannabis drinks and vape cartridges getting ready to expire

Uncle James is such a sweet old man. Not only is he aging and suffering from dementia, however he is also on a fixed income, and barely has enough funds to survive. Still, he sends me a birthday card every year with two dollars in it. Two crisp, new dollar bills, every year. It really means so much more than the funds, because two dollars is a lot for him. Every year he takes his two dollars and I buy a lottery scratcher. Well, this year I finally picked a winner. That two dollars was transformed into four hundred dollars, and I knew just what to do with it. I went to the nearest cannabis dispensary and started shopping for deals. I wanted to get all the cannabis products I could, but in the spirit of Uncle James I wanted to be economical and get the most for the winnings. I asked the budtender if they had any special sales going on, and learned that a new strain of OG Kush was discounted by 30%. He then pointed me to a table in the back littered with discounted items like cannabis drinks and vape cartridges getting ready to expire. I was lucky to find two packages of sour apple cannabis gummies that were BOGO (buy one, get one free). By the time I left I had spent all my birthday currency, and a little extra, and had a nice immense bin full of cannabis products. I hope Uncle James would approve, although he doesn’t smoke cannabis himself.

Imagine having a cool lounge where you can hang out

Why should a cannabis dispensary restrict itself to just selling jars of weed? That’s a start, and for everyone it’s enough – however not for me. I’m a completist, and when I do something I want it to be the best. I set up my little shop a few months ago with the goal of becoming a franchise, and the most popular weed destination in town. There are many other dispensaries in the city, so I have fierce competition. I succeed by going the extra mile and doing things the other stores won’t do. Taking growing equipment as an example. For all those other cannabis shops around here, none of them had growing equipment in stock to sell, it had to be special order only. I filled that niche and became the top seller for marijuana grow lights and insta-grow pots in the area. I chose to take it a step further and offer gardening classes on the weekend, to teach people the best practices for growing cannabis plants at home. I must keep growing and expanding, so my next idea is a cannabis smoker’s lounge, although that one will take several more months to put together. Picture having a cool lounge where you can hang out, listen to music, play games, and love cannabis products? In the future I’ll be the ultimate destination for cannabis, and have something for potheads of all types, but what ideas would you like to see instituted in my cannabis shop? Hit me up in the comments and let me know!

Our local cannabis spot

Look, I’m thrilled to pieces over the fact that my state is a leader when it comes to recreational marijuana.

We observed how well the medical marijuana thing went and so it was pretty easy to go the next step when it comes to recreational marijuana.

It’s so wonderful not to be in a situation where doing something so beneficial is also illegal. And being able to procure cannabis products safely while knowing the THC content is amazing. So really, I have nothing to complain about at all when it comes to the fact that recreational marijuana is legal here. Yet, I was sort of bummed out as I saw more and more corporate marijuana business enter our city. Again, I know how lucky I am to be able to walk into a cannabis dispensary and get some orange kush or blue dream. But I really try to make a point of spending my money with local business. I just don’t like how corporations have shaped our country and our world. Perhaps they are a necessary evil. I’m not well versed enough in macro economics to really know. Besides, I think it just feels so good to be able to take the money I earn and spend it with the people in my community. This is why I’m so thrilled to actually have a local cannabis spot for the first time. It’s an independent marijuana business with local owners. This is where I’ll be doing all of my shopping for marijuana for sale going forward. And that makes me really, very happy.

The cannabis grower tour was awesome

I had the best time on the tour

I love the fact that recreational marijuana is now legal in our state. That’s been a dream come true for me since I was just starting out my adult life. Having been introduced to recreational marijuana in college, it was clear that it really had a beneficial impact on my life. But the fact remained that this was an illegal substance. So just getting any cannabis was tough. You had no idea the THC content or anything like that. And it was always such a hassle and a worry when it came to the law. So just being able to not be arrested for possessing marijuana is a very big deal for me. Yet, having legalized cannabis products available has meant so much more as well. It turns out that simply shopping for marijuana for sale is such a thrill that I really got into visiting different cannabis dispensaries. I just enjoyed so much getting to learn about new cannabis strains as well as meeting so many really lovely people. It’s really been great. But I took that to a whole new level just recently. I visited a cannabis dispensary that is an outlet for a cannabis grower. This cannabis grower offered to take me for a tour of his cannabis business. It was so incredible to see the behind the scenes stuff that goes into the cannabis business from the cannabis grower side. I had the best time on the tour. Plus, I learned a lot about growing different hybrid strains along with the more common sativa and indica strains. So, I found the whole endeavor to be pretty remarkable.
